Applying for jobs. is like dating

Looking for a job is a lot like going to match.com and trying to find a date.  First you check them out, look at the company see what they are about.  Then you submit your resume.  Next comes the "will they like me phase" just waiting for an answer.  After that if you do not get an answer you are left with self doubt and wondering why you weren't right.  The only thing that seems to set them apart is at least with dating you can get the "It's not you it's me" speach.
