HIRE ME PLEASE!!!!!!

This is an employers market.  I can remember the days when if someone had a great interview but didn't quite meet all of the job requirements we overlooked it and hired them anyway.  Why.......because personality meant something back then.

Now resumes are sorted via computer programs looking for keywords.  An employer can find someone with the exact criterea they are looking for.  But consider, just because you have the job requirements, does that mean that you are a good fit for the job? 

Not always in my opinion.  In my current positon we have hired plenty of people that my boss wants because they look great on paper and have the qualifications that we wanted.  However the person wasn't a great fit.  I have hired other people that did not have all of the requirements but managed to work out better because they had an awesome personality and willingness to learn.

Remember, someone had to take a chance on you a long time ago.............so return the favor.
